Ransu tells Olli that his television career officially started in October 4, 1978 when he moved from the village of Onkiniemi in Sysmä to Yle TV2 in Tohloppi, Tampere. The year 1978 is now widely accepted as Ransu's birth year (his 30th birthday was celebrated in 2008 and 40th birthday in 2018). In reality, Ransu's first appearance in Pikku kakkonen (1977) was in the fall of 1977 and the first episode of Karvakuonot (1978) aired in September 5, 1978.
