The movie just dragged on! It's not funny or entertaining, even the "drama and comedy skits" are boring as heck. Seriously boring, the drama was incredibly mundane, it's like watching a kid trying to throw a fit without actually crying. Everything just seemed forced and unnatural. The actors didn't even seem to want to be there. They litterally seemed like "is the scene done? Cool, I got a thing to get to"
Honestly it's not worth the time to watch. It litterally felt like a 3 or 4 hour movie, it just seemed to keep going and there's nothkng to keep your attention. Sorry if that's mean, it's just the truth.

I saw this last night with my boyfriend. It was such an enjoyable date night, movie was funny yes but it had such a great message of family. I haven't seen my extended family in 2 years du to covid - can't wait to drive to Kansas City this holiday - must check it out in theaters or on demand when it comes out.
I just watched this film and was thoroughly impressed. I went into it expecting a lifetime movie of the week. Instead, I found a character driven story about a woman juggling motherhood while wrestling her own insecurities. The movie had plenty of heart and left you with a feeling that only a Christmas movie can. The acting was strong, too, especially the girl who played the daughter.
A new take on a Christmas story. It's not all marshmellows, but instead, it follows a normal game with normal problems with one, the matriarch trying to hold it together. It's fun, funny, heatwarming, and a new addition to the Christmas Movie lineup.
It's not your typical Lifetime movie, it's much better.

I gave this a 9 out of 10 and think these ratings are off. My wife and I went to see if this past weekend. First I will say she dragged me to go - I thought it would be lame. The beginning was a little slow but then everytime I looked over she was smiling and chuckling. The more I saw she was really enjoying it, I guess I let me guard down and I found myself getting sucked into the story and this family. The mom, I think Shawnee from Becker was really convincing, felt like it was my own wife at the helm and I found myself on the journey with this family. I am a little embarrased to say this film choked me up. Its not a straight out comedy but it has funny parts and real emotion to it. It plays great in the theater but also a fun one to cuddle up infront of the fire on demand.
