This was a really cute movie! I didn't know what to expect but my daughters, who are 8 and 10 saw the commercials for it on TV and asked me to buy it. They just loved it. I thought the cast was great and Jennette McCurdy did a great job. She's fun to watch on iCarly. We liked the 4 girls the solved the mystery too! My girls are hoping for a sequel!
I thought the adult actors did a good job too. I didn't recognize any of them but they were talented and funny. Especially the professor. You can tell this isn't a big budget movie from a studio but it had lots of heart and I'm glad we own it. I would recommend moms buying this for their kids.

Okay, so I saw this movie when I was younger and fell in love with it. Years later, I realize that it's pretty flawed.
First off, the acting isn't that great. Edwards and Meyers seemed to be the worst out of all of them , and I'm pretty sure they only got the roles because their moms wrote it. The girl that played Riley (mean black girl) played the role well, but you could tell she was nervous. Emma Duke was just...bad. Like she's the definition of a child actor. But despite this, they all play their characters, for what they are, pretty decently.
The writing is really weird and awkward sometimes. To the point where it's almost distracting.
But I appreciate this movie because of the direction and the fact that the cast looked like they were actually having fun. The director obviously had a vision and the way the characters act is just...I don't know, fun and charming to watch.
If you hate cliché tween movies, probably avoid this. If you're a girl or someone who likes girl movies, then maybe give this a try. When I need something simple to watch, I usually go to this movie.

This was a very enjoyable and entertaining movie, one that parents could feel comfortable watching with their young children, which is rare these days for a film with anything but a 'G' rating. Pre-teens and young teens especially will enjoy this.
The acting was solid, the cast was superb, the writing was excellent, and the story was fun. Compared to a lot of the big-budget garbage that comes out of Hollywood today, this was a refreshing light-hearted treat. Minor Details may not be a 'Cinematic Masterpiece' (as some readers believe is the only type of film deserving of a 10 rating on IMDb, even though true cinematic masterpieces are extremely rare) but this film is far from rubbish and deserves to be applauded for the efforts of the cast and crew who all worked very hard on this project and did an outstanding job to bring it from idea to script to screen.
In short, I loved it!!! I would recommend Minor Details to anyone with children, especially girls, in the 8-14 age range. Personally, I will be watching it again and plan to own it on DVD.
Kudos to everyone involved in this project for a job well done!

Watched this movie with my two tweenage girls today. They love iCarly and Jennette McCurdy and so they made me buy it. I thought it was a pretty good movie. They loved it. One of them is watching it again right now.
While it's not going to win an emmy, it's a decent movie. It was better than some of the silly over the top stuff that you see on Disney and Nick.
Jennette McCurdy is a talented young star and no doubt will go on to bigger things in the future. She did a nice job in the movie. My girls are huge fans of hers.
The rest of the cast did a good job too.I rate it a 7 out of 10.

In my humble opinion, this is a film that will only be liked by those of a certain age group, most probably pre-teens. The film is not intended for all age group, and as such, those who are way older than the targeted age group, would not like this film that much.
The acting wasn't that great, probably because the cast are not experience in acting, and they may have problems to portray their acting into a more believable manner.
Having said that, I think their acting is quite good. And the storyline wasn't that bad either. The storyline were not focused at times, but I don't find to be bothersome.
Again, this film is may not be enjoyed by everyone, but only to those in the pre-teens age group. As for me, I don't find it my liking, but my nieces love it.
