Taifu receives a letter from his grandson Arashi. In it, Arashi recounts the many experiences he's had since departing on his journey.

Gyoza has to leave due to severe injuries. With the other Zoids also heavily damaged, Arashi decides to infiltrate the Death Metal Empire alone.

Arashi's group heads to a mining colony in search of clues regarding the Great Ancient Treasure Z. While there, Salt has a surprising reunion.

Drake and Arashi take on Gallagher's fearsome Death Rex, while their allies struggle against Truffle and Caviar. An unexpected friend offers his help.
