Love abounds in an old tenement house at Hua Xiang Street when the men and women within cross paths. True to his name, Zhao Ming Xing "Star" (Alien Huang) continually attempts at stardom. After several unsuccessful attempts, he finds solace in Lian Jing (Kate Pang), a closet fan of stars. The quarrelsome pair starts dating each other in secret. However, can true love help the pair overcome the irreconcilable differences that lie beneath their similarities? Meanwhile, the flames of desire and love are reignited when Ming Xing's dad, Dagou (Chor Meng Chew), meets the charming Xiao Yu (Apple Hong). Rou Rou (Chloe Wang), the beauty of Hua Xiang Street and every man's dream girl, is secretly admired by the nerdy Zi Bin (Andie Chen). Will the latter's sincere love stay strong even after Rou Rou gets impregnated by a foreigner? Yong Yong (Rui En), Rou Rou's adopted sister, is a down-to-earth girl being raised as a boy, but catches the attention of Yi Duo (Yaodong Zhang), son of the tenement house's owner.
