    Fantastic

This was the first PS5 game I played and I loved every minute of it. The game gives the same sense of adventure and fun that are staples of the franchise. Plus the entire game is gorgeous to look at.

Ratchet and Clank: A Must-Play Game

The game is truly fantastic! I haven't played a game like this in years, having lost interest in this genre and assuming that I would no longer enjoy it. I was mistaken. Ratchet and Clank is visually stunning and plays exceptionally well. The gameplay is incredibly fun and the characters are endearing. The switch between the two protagonists provides much-needed variety and does wonders for the story as a whole.

The gameplay is smooth and seamless, and the various types of weapons offer more than enough diversity so that the battles never become monotonous.

The game boasts wonderful worlds, characters, and gameplay. I never would have thought so when I first started playing it.

Something the younger generation will never understand!

This game is absolutely phenomenal from beginning to end. The nostalgia is out of this world! From the original character designs all done to perfection with their bright colours and funny/quirky personalities, to the flawless level design, everything in this game is super colourful and vibrant and is just all up gorgeous to look at!

The guns in this game are all amazing and feel very immersive to use due to the haptic vibrations with the PS5 controller, and gun fights depending on what difficulty you're playing on can actually be quite the challenge if you aren't careful!! The movement is smooth and fluent throughout the entire game and the mini boss fights are super fun! The sounds to each gun are also very satisfying to listen to!

The story was also very good and I enjoyed every second of it! Definitely something new! So for anyone who is either new to Ratcher & Clank or have played every game in the series before like I have you will enjoy it no matter what and I would 110% recommend buying this game as it is definitely worth your time and money!

    Straight up 11/10 for me!

    Insanely amazing!

This is hands down one of the best games ever! Crazy action packed, challenging but not impossible and very hard to put down! This should be the baseline used to create games. It's almost a shoot-everything-crazy-rampage type of game, but swapping weapons for different effects mixes it up so much you never get bored.

Still the only true next-gen game

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a groundbreaking entry in the beloved PlayStation franchise, offering an exhilarating blend of action, adventure, and cutting-edge technology. The game's graphics are nothing short of breathtaking. The PlayStation 5's capabilities are fully realized here, with highly detailed environments, fluid animations, and realistic lighting. From lush alien landscapes to intricately designed character models, every scene feels alive and vibrant. The game's use of ray tracing adds a sense of realism that enhances the experience, while the innovative rift mechanic allows for seamless dimension transitions in real-time, showcasing the PS5's ultra-fast loading times.

In terms of gameplay, Rift Apart excels with its smooth, action-packed combat. Players have access to a variety of creative weapons, each offering a distinct playstyle, from the classic Blaster to the new Rift Tether. The rift mechanic itself adds a dynamic layer to combat and exploration, making each encounter feel fresh and engaging. The level design is imaginative, offering unique worlds that are both visually captivating and fun to explore.

The story in Rift Apart is as charming and emotional as ever. The dynamic between Ratchet and Clank remains heartwarming, with their friendship taking center stage as they navigate a high-stakes multiverse adventure. The addition of Rivet, a new Lombax character, brings a refreshing new perspective and depth to the narrative. The humor, heart, and character-driven moments resonate deeply, providing both long-time fans and newcomers with a compelling reason to invest in the story.

The soundtrack complements the action perfectly, with a score that enhances the intensity of the battles and the emotional depth of the quieter moments. Each piece fits the tone of the game, elevating key sequences and ensuring that every moment feels impactful.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a perfect showcase of what next-gen gaming can offer. • Trivia
The game was specifically designed to make use of the PlayStation 5's power and its fast Solid State Drive. Because of that, it brought many technical advantages to the game, such as large amounts of enemies and seamless jumps between dimensions. It also became the first game of the series to have no loading screens.
    • Goofs
At Zurkie's there is an unplayable arcade machine of the Captain Qwark game "My Blaster Runs Hot", which perhaps serves as a reference to the Agorian Battleplex from Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, which like Zurkie's is a battle arena. The error is that in Rivet and Kit's dimension, Captain Quantum is the hero, not Qwark. An arcade machine with Qwark should not exist and instead should feature Captain Quantum.
    • Quotes

Mags: Mapped my first dimension today, pretty standard stuff, but the colors there were so vivid! There were these creatures; one of them even looked like a lombax, but he had smaller ears, a mask, and a cane, and I think he was pulling some kind of heist.
