Great Paintings of the World with Andrew Marr

I have to be honest my knowledge of works of art is virtually non-existent but I caught a bit of The Night Watch episode and found it incredibly interesting so I recorded more episodes. I had half expected pretentious programmes but they are not like that at all. The episodes discuss the life of the artist and their reasons for the painting. It's more like a history documentary than an art programme. I have thoroughly enjoyed the episodes I have watched so far.

These stories of genius heartbreak death criticism accolades family relationships human discoveries are just stunning. But Andrew's holier than thou delivery is so typically British. Almost like a bully cowering over your head sadly.

The Mona Lisa journey is amazing. Each discovery is dotted with luck, chances and destiny Red Earth sit orange relatives scream yellow souls are tortured Green love abounds and abates even Royalty But Andrews voice so anti light blue horror I went silent on my indigo blue remote and just read the text But yes the world is certainly navy blue pink gold purple gold white black...But the Title should be The Greatest Western Culture Paintings"
