As a divorced, single mom in my mid 40's, this one really hit home..
I believe Pernilles struggles, they are all recognisable. Loved the series, looking forward for season two.
Enjoyed this series, but Pernille too servant-like to almost adult daughters. Respect parents- they give up a lot for you. Followed whole series through and Hannah particularly irritated me as entitled daughter. Maybe a Scandi thing, but be nice to people. Loved the dad and the whole relationship scenario, but in the end, what did Pernille have for herself? Spent a lot of time running after daughters and father. Very relatable character with all her foibles, but need as all parents to push back with kids. Time to grow up Hannah and Sigrid. Parenting is giving - up until certain age. After it becomes servitude.
Good story. The acting is top notch. Henriette Steenstrup and Nils Ole Oftebro at their best. Warm, and the setting and challenges will be familiar to most people. I will very much recommend this series.
Great show, solid acting, but the two daughters are walking ads for abortion. They're both so terrible, it borders on parody. Pernille being everyone's doormat ia somewhat tiring as well.
I still can't understand Sigrid's love for that narcissist pos deadbeat father. It makes no sense, he's repellant.
I'm only into the second season, do I'm hoping these flaws get repaired.
Wonderful performance from the lead, so that's something. The look and feel of the show is fantastic as well.
I'm going to stick with it, and see how it goes.
But man, that Sigrid character is really getting on my nerves.

I love this show, I've been binging it from the start. It's very a very entertaining easy to watch show. The only thing that bothers me from the first episode into the 4th season that there is hardly any development in the behavior of her daughters. They are both a pain in the ass. Of course kids can be challenging at that age, but they just keep being selfish and irritated about the smallest thing all the time. And Pørni just takes it all in. On the one hand it's good to show how kids that age go through hard times emotionally but you can exaggerate it. For the rest I love the story line, the portrait of the Norwegian way of life, etc.
