New Moon is a novel by American author Stephenie Meyer. It is second in a series of four books, collectively known as the Twilight Saga. In order, the books are Twilight (2005), New Moon (2006), Eclipse (2007), and Breaking Dawn (2008). The other three books have also been made into movies: Twilight (2008), The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011), and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012). The screenplay for New Moon was written by American screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who also wrote the screenplay for the first movie.
