...so I don't understand the low ratings. It's probably just another case of people who haven't done anything judging those who try / do.
Keep up the entertainment, T-Rex Ranch.

My 4YO LOVES this show. It's filled with information, and not just about dinosaurs. My son is obsessed with dinosaurs, but most of the stuff he's able to watch is cartoon, or documentaries... this is a nice in between. The dinosaurs look real to him, and there's no chance that they start eating anyone! They are constantly giving information about the dinosaurs, and teaching while on silly adventures. My son has learned so much about dinosaurs and animals it's crazy.
Is the show silly and annoying for adults??? Yes!!!! The show isn't for you! It's for your kid! This is a solid option so that your kid isn't watching a documentary that blends up being kind of violent.

I felt I needed to rate and review this show. My son watches it right now as his first choice. The scripting is pretty bad. They are either hocking some toy at kids that they get sponsored for or doing something with dinosaurs just to keep within the theme of the show. There is nothing and I mean nothing educational about this show. For me, I feel that's a huge missed opportunity. My son loves dinosaurs and I think he probably knows more than anyone on this show (he's 3). That being said he gets nothing from this show but entertainment. If they would consider the entertainment factor mixed with some education I feel everyone would be better off. They think this show is a Jurassic park/world knockoff. It isn't. It's for kids. Act like it is. Educate them. Teach them about dinosaurs. Not act like idiots with nerf guns and cheap animations.
Noticing a big separation in ratings and I can see why based on the seasons I've seen. Netflix/Amazon appears to have a version that isn't hocking toys/terrible production values.
There is also another version I saw on Peacock that seems to have terrible production values with an extremely tenuous connection to the Netflix/Amazon version.
I've also seen one that I think was on Youtube that had the same name, but was mostly unboxing/selling toys.
My kiddo doesn't have extremely distinguishing preferences so the brand keeps him interested even in low quality versions.
Overall: Not a lot of education content, highly variable quality (is this an IP enforcement issue?)

My 3yo adores the show and has watched all episodes original and new. He reenacts the scenes and can recognize and pronounce all proper dinosaur names and features. Great show and highly recommended as a good combination of both entertainment for a little one and also educational content. We watch it both on YouTube and now on Netflix. He lost his mind for the crossover with Blippi. His favourites are the ones with LB, Aron and Despicable G/Dinomaster though. DinoMaster is his favourite character to act as and the stories are surprisingly witty and entertaining even for the adult that is watching π
