Fallout is one of the best series of 2024 for me. And at the same time it's a film adaptation of the game universe. And there were always problems with the film adaptation of games. But everything is so successful here that you are even surprised. First of all, the well-chosen cast of actors, I liked almost all of them, except that Maximus and his plot branch seemed boring. Careful work with the original source, it can be seen from the first series. Fallout looks like a part of the series and not as it happens with movie adaptations where the game world is nothing more than scenery. In terms of plot, of course, the first season does not answer almost one question that the viewer will have, and the last episode creates a lot of new ones. But for the debut season it will work, I really hope that the second season will not disappoint and will continue to develop the series. Moreover, the series has such a strong primary source.
In my reviews for S1E1 "The End", and S1E8 "The Beginning", I already reviewed some aspects of this show, that does indirect releasing of information, non-traditional methods of telling the story, and while avoids standard exposition, tells a complex, robust story, covered under what is configured in a way that prompts asking questions, and to entertain and distract.
Now to finish and wrap up my review for the first season, I will add that Fallout show also sounds great, excellent visuals too, as well as the world building. It is really really good and well put together show, as the title for the review states: a delight.

Was excited to see, but ultimately went in with low expectations. I have to say, as a fan of the games, Nolan and crew hit it out of the park. It was very faithful to the source material and added a healthy amount to the lore. It was great to see everything so accurately portrayed, from the vaults to the commercials. I really expected the special effects to be very cheap looking, as many shows tend to be, but in fact they were cinema quality. It seems they really took their time and spent a good amount of cash to make the show look as good as possible. It also had a great story and a lot of heart. All the characters were well fleshed out and added to the weight of the story. And for those of us who wanted a little sci-if campiness like the games, it's got just the right amount. Can't wait for season 2!
The world building in the show is very precise.. and ig it would be more accurate and fabulous in the next episode.
You would find no moment that would bore you.
Ella purnell was fantastic in the role and so was walton goggins, the ghoul was like my favourite character in the show.
Depiction of the vaults and how a vault dweller encounters the world above, was very good.
Story sails very smooth, and i think even for the people who know nothing about the fallout franchise, it's very entertaining and gripping.
There's a lot of content that the show could use from the game so fingers crossed for the next season.

I waited more than six months to write this review. This series is emotional, incredibly well filmed and unbelievably realistic. It shows that those that make games can also write incredible stories. The filmmakers have brought to life a game which has been played by millions of people and made it into a fabulous, scenic, beautiful, incredibly technical movie. I cannot refrain from recommending this series more highly. My only hope is that the production team make another series, well at least one more. It will be a very hard act to follow, and I hope that they didn't use up all of the game resources in making this first series. Bravo!
