The name Average Community came from a Peanuts comic and was the name of Fred and Chris Zara's first punk band.
The search for their friend Dave actually dragged out for months, requiring more than one trip from Florida to the Northeast to look for him. The search concluded with a trip to Philadelphia, ending on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
P.O.W. bass player, Sam (Psycho) Latini, died just two months before the film was completed and screened. He was the only member of the band not present at the first screening of the film at the Enzian Theater in Maitland, FL.
The first screening of the film in New Jersey was held at The Record Collector in Bordentown. The event was arranged by City Gardens promoter, Randy (Now) Ellis.
