The warning that the 'countdown voice' speaks towards the end - "Soon it will be hot. 800 degrees, you can trust me, you can trust me" - are the lyrics of the chorus of the punk band Ebba Grön's famous Swedish hit "800 C".
The 'Clown Glass' clown looks just like Pennywise. Bill Skarsgård would later play Pennywise in the 'It' remake.
The film deliberately uses well-known appliances and household items as sci-fi props for comical effect. For instance, Kenny's gun is a repainted hairdryer, the bad guys' belt buckles are electrical installation boxes, and some spacecraft are garbage skips, complete with chute lids.
