We follow struggling model Ella Angel, through her misadventures with fame and relationships in Hollywood. Ella tries to navigate the fast paced world of castings and clubs, but with her only friend Jade there to stick up for her, the mean girls of the model house make her question her own moral compass. The Director gives us a behind-the-scenes look into the glamour surrounding the modeling industry, while underneath, we see the dirt and terrifying details of what it means to be a young woman in Hollywood. Director and Writer Kana Kozlowski is finishing her BA in Economics with Honors from UC Santa Barbara while pursuing her passion for filmmaking. "City of Angels," inspired by her own professional modeling experiences, will be her second short film as writer/director. This is following her debut short, "Glass," which was nominated for best director and won best screenplay in the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
