If you look past the bad acting...

It was going well until the dreadful shakycam started. A few factual errors too, for example there are no meteors in space so how could a space station be hit by one? LOL (Meteors only occur in the atmosphere)

And it could have been 5 of 6 stars ...

Okay. I like these 'B' movies. But I almost quit watching this one twice. Fortunately, the fast-forward button on my remote allowed me to get past the gratuitous sex scenes, which, by the way, were L then G and near the beginning. Once past that, the movie became what I expected, which is why it got three stars. The bad guys versus the really good guys who have to save the world. NOTE to producers & directors -- THAT is what people wanted to watch. Producers/directors -- you want better ratings for your movies. Stop putting scenes in the movies that have NOTHING to do with the plot! In this movie, it was sex scenes. It added NOTHING to the movie.

    TV movie dreadful

Does your grass need cutting? Could you go for a walk? Do it - even the actors are bored with this dreadful pile

    Don't even bother 😱😱😱😱

    Absolutely awful

Very poor writing based on what must be zero research. Some classically bad acting.

    I tried, I really did.

I always go into movies with a positive mindset and a genuine desire to overlook any foibles and try to find the entertainment value. With this one, it was just too much of a stretch. It's just one more example of a whole series of movies in the 2000s and 2010s where they tried to do an epic disaster film on a shoestring budget, and wound up with exactly what you'd expect.

    • Trivia
This film is not related to the novel 'The Fall of Hyperion' by Dan Simmons, or any of his Hyperion saga, a science fiction epic series set in the 29th century.
    • Goofs
They stated that the space station was in Geo Synchronous orbit. The space station is not in GEOSYNC orbit but orbits at about 200 miles up making an orbit about every 90 minutes. GEOSYNC orbit is about 22,000 miles up. The images of the space station in the movie show its orbit to be low earth orbit.
