I have to write a review as I can't believe this series is rated under 8 on this platform! It's a beautiful series from start to finish and the artistry of both leads performing here is astounding! The OST is so beautiful and yes, I like Brahms but now I love it!!! Worth every minute watching and together they made a beautiful pair!! Loved this show and it's really much better than the 7.7 rating!

My favourite quote of the series :"The smallest moment in your life, is the moment when your crescendo begins."
Its a very slow but a good drama if you like melancholic romance.
Instead of a perfect clichè love story its a flawed love story with an imperfect couple which is according to me is beautiful.
Its a very realistic drama which teaches you that you can't get whatever you want in life and no matter how much you try, you have let go of things and you can be happy without it. Infact, you will be relieved that its gone.
The character development of both the leading actors are amazing. The best thing I like about them is they both have similar personalities which again is completely opposite to a typical kdrama lovestory. The love unfolds gently and its very soothing.
Honestly its beyond description, you need to see it to feel it.
I am saying this again that this drama is very very slow but meaningful... so, if you like such drama and musical genre then please give it a try. It will not dissappoint you.
The whole drama is extremely comforting and healing at the same time.

Depicts the courage and beauty to chase one's dreams. The characters bravely survive through the challenge to make a choice to follow a path, the challenges faced while following that path and the challenges that others put them through. A mellow love story with good music and OST. Somewhat inspiring.
I feel lucky to watch this drama on dreams and self realisation and frustration one goes through when they can't fulfill their dreams. Not to mention the leads chemistry and acting was mind-blowing and it's shows how a beautiful relationship evolves after facing hardship.

If I'm gonna name a reason why this series could have been better, it'll be the main leads character. His indecisiveness pretty much ruined everything about him as well as the flow of the series. The writer should have rectified this during the very first episodes but it just piling stress on the whole plot. It wasn't really an enjoyable experience watching this one. Although, the last episode provided greater relief, it still did not help at all.
Do You Like Brahms is one of those unexpected gems you come across while waiting for some other drama to air. I was honestly waiting for Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol to air and came across the recap of episode one of Do You Like Brahms and couldnt get it off my mind and hence I decided to watch it and I couldn't get over it. And hence I've been waiting for Mondays and I just love it so much.
I loved everything about this drama, the lead actor/actress, their on screen chemistry was so lovely, in these uncertain times during the pandemic, this drama put you in a "happy" place, I am so in love with both of them and finding it difficult to move on since it ended. I am so glad I watched it and at the beginning I couldn't wait for the next episodes and wished the Monday/Tuesday time slot to hurry up and come. Thank you to the writer, director, staff and the amazing cast for doing a job well done.

She delivers an affecting performance which drew me in to her character's predicament. That was quite an achievement as it would have been easy to be frustrated with the two protagonists inability to communicate.
The musical angle adds another element to be enjoyed, for those of us that like classical music at least. The eventual duet between our angst-ridden lovers was rather moving.
Otherwise we have a slim love story that will engage those of us that enjoy such things.

It is a well made film overall, nice ost, a good male lead and supporting actors. Content wise the story is interesting and explores a variety of contemporary real world issues as well as certain aspects of human psychology. However, I found the depiction of the main female character by Park Eun-bin way too lethargic, verging on a spectrum disorder, which made me doubt the character's plausibility. Watching such a shrinking violet/loser in the end became tiresome, so I didn't bother finishing the last few episodes. I watched the same actress in the King's Affection where her character did not seem to be so pathological.

Can't get it out of my head. Although I'm a thriller lover started watching it because I had nothing else then. Turned out to be one of the best show I've ever watched. Loved everything about it. The couple will always be my number 1 couple in friendship, as lovers and as best companions. Loved the ending, it was so satisfying. I smiled, cried and my heart fluttered with them. It was absolutely beautiful.
The relationship development is slow that at times it might be too hard to watch. Frankly, I love this over the instant relationships showed in other shows. The romance here is much more relatable and very realistic.
The fact that the cast learnt how to play the instruments is also very impressive. It shows their commitment towards the drama.
In addition to the romance, it also shows the difficulties of grad students and fallen celebrities. Literally, shows you how to live each day strong and happily. A definite must watch!!

Liked the plot of this story and the fact that it was meant to be based on classical music, so decided to watch. The male lead was very nice. The female lead got more infuriating as a character as the series went on. I actually liked the second female lead and wish she had got the compassion, understanding and sympathy she deserved. Even though she was manipulative at times, it stemmed from her life story. Also liked the supporting male cast and wish his story received a bit more prominence. After around the 8th episode when the main lead treated the supporting female coldly, I lost interest. He loved her once and her character still carried hurt but he chose the wrong time to have a spine. Also, it was annoying to watch the female lead get ahead despite her subpar violin ability. She also was fairly spineless. Despite being present everywhere the main lead was and creating a scene, i didnt getvm the hype or feel any warnth towards her character. She seemed v dull. Even worse was watching her get her best friends love interests too even though she led him on only. She seemed manipulative in an ignorant way and I am not a fan of such characters. While many feel it is an epic love story I thought the second female lead had far more depth to her character and deserved a better story line or they should have built something likeable and extraordinary into the lead characters story to make one identify with the magnetism they wanted the audience to feel towards her. I skipped to the end eventually cos it was just too slow amd painful to watch. I didn't like the way she still ends up getting the star Park to play for her at the recital. It was the same as how she first got his attention in the opening because she refused to leave. Her character was just a boring person who refuses to see any truths and does what she wants Despite obvious limitations.

While starting off with a drama, what is the very first thing that we try to do? We try to be able to relate with the characters to be able to see and feel through them. But there are times when we cannot help but disagree with some incidents, some of their wishes, times when we realise we really cannot relate with some of them after all, cause no matter what every person is different thus, so is every character. I experienced this while watching this drama. There were times when the going seemed too slow, when the decisions seemed too unreasonable, but no matter how many times I felt I was drifting away, the melody of the drama made sure that I was pulled back to it. Cause no matter how different we may be, we are humans after all, we can feel and we can understand why people behave and react in certain ways. Feelings are melodious, emotions are melodious , they have their own ups and downs and this drama being so well composed, makes you feel like the entire story, adorned with the artistically expressed emotions, feelings and music is nothing but a beautiful, deep and fluvial melody, which leaves such an impact, that we end up wanting to remember it for a long long time... cause it made us feel alive. It made me believe once again that stories have their own tune, their own melody or maybe just they themselves are melodious.

I just finished the 16th and final episode. I can't help but feel sad that its over though not much more could have been said or done.
The romance was absolutely lovely, heartbreaking and sublime. I felt even in the silences that could have been awkward, the passion felt in them took over.
The acting was superb. The music was wonderful. All of the pain and joy was clearly visible and so tangible. I loved it.
This series starts really well. The first six episodes were really great. I thought I was in for one of my favourites to be kdramas. But alas. The story started quickly descending into a pity party. To make it worse it was a pity party in the guise of drama or a 'challenge' in the drama except these challenges were not only contrived but they beat you to death with it. They want you to feel sorry for the lead girl so bad. I get not having confidence. Everyone goes through that. But to not have confidence that you sabotage your own relationship without giving the other person a chance to at least understand or help remedy the situation, the story would rather the characters adopt self deprecating and matyr syndrome where they hurt themselves in order to 'save' the other person who doesn't even need saving. What a bunch of bull. The story ruined this for me and it made me so angry I don't think I'll ever finish this soap. If you're into depressing self deprecating characters maybe you'll like this show. This show just makes me angry when I just want to enjoy a show. If you're making a depressing story at least make it justified not someone ruining their own chances and I'm expected to feel bad for them.

For everyone who is fed up with Hollywood and craving for more subtlety, I only can recommend this cast. The setting of classical music fits perfectly into the world of young people aspiring to a career as a professional musician. The desires, the dreams, the envy and jealousy towards someone who's made it to the top, and then the frustration and disappointment when someone has to realize that desire and love for the music doesn't necessarily translate into success is vividly demonstrated throughout the cast. And on top of all the slow building of a bittersweet romance between the two main protagonists is just almost to much to take. I instantly hooked up with world class pianist, Joon-Joung, and I literally fell in love with Song-Ah, the female violinist. I couldn't wait for theirs first hug and much later for their first kiss, and I utterly enjoyed it when it finally happened. And I was at times so frustrated when the two of them just stood in front of each other, almost suffocating because the words of love were stuck in their throat, unable to say something other than 'see you tomorrow'. I almost screamed at Joon- Joung to say something nice to his beautiful girl, but no. And I sensed already early on that this so sweet (remember the ice cream moment?) love was in for some rough days, and they came. I'm still not over this moment when Song-Ah finally called it quits because she couldn't take the agony and the wavering of her boyfriend any longer. But I could understand her perfectly. The wake up call worked, but it took a while for the reconciliation. It didn't come easy and not with many words (beware Joon-Joung with words) but through the sheer performance he put up on stage, telling her through music how much he loves her. Sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. Song-Ah broke out in tears, knowing at this moment that no matter how much pain and agony she would endure, the love for this man would offset all of it. I had no idea that a cast I stumbled upon be mere chance would be able to unload such an avalanche of emotions in me. It's almost unbearable. Someone help me. Folks, go and watch all the episodes, the sweet and the not so sweet ones. You won't regret it.

I love this drama somehow. But the main point is I really couldn't imagine the plot of the story even I am in 14/16 episodes. I didn't know about music and other stuff related but I like the chemistry and the neverending problem. It's quite slow for the storyline and I never feel like this before when I watched dramas. In this drama, I can think of Song Ah pov related to my daily. The thought and feeling, even the doubt in herself everytime we make decisions in real life.

I enjoyed every minute. I don't have the words to describe it. It was so refreshing to watch something so pure, gentle, tender, the openness and it was uplifting, in a world with so much violence etc. I enjoyed the slow pace. Can we please see more series and movies like this?
It touched my soul. Beautiful music, beautiful people.

Park Eun Bin is such a talented actor - I am amazed at her ability to make every role she is in believable and so emotionally engaging. She, more than anyone, made this and exceptional series for me.
This is series is another example. Korean dramas, like this, usually have such complicated and touching stories that pull me in nearly every time and "Do You Like Brahms?" is one that does so more than many others. In addition, there is a lot of great music thrown in as a bonus.
As others have mentioned, there is a great deal of melancholy thrown in but, in my opinion, that just makes the joy more heartfelt when it occurs. I can't praise this one enough. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
