Was slated to film from the 3rd to the 24th of April, 2020, before productions across Canada were shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and ended up shooting later this year from July 15th to August 6th.
In the novel the film is based on, the lead character is called Jessica Christie, however for this adaptation, while the first name was retained, the surname was changed to Perez.
Aired as the first of twenty-three original films in The Hallmark Channel's 2020 "Countdown to Christmas" lineup.
