    Awesome

I can't believe I cried buckets over a game of chess. A superb mini series. Way, way better than I thought it would be. I can't play chess, don't know the rules or nowt, didn't affect my enjoyment of the show. Superb.

    A fantastic checkmate

What a wonderful closure to an incredible miniseries like this. How all the pieces from the beginning connected and the emotions flourished throughout the hour made me feel truly alive. The development of the characters, the score and Russian scenery were truly mesmerizing. How subtle some topics or issues were treated is something that I appreciate. Beth Harmon's character made us feel in love with her, and throughout the entire episode (and season) we genuinely want her to achieve her goal. Kudos to Anya Taylor Joy's phenomenal performance and a big applause to the director for producing such an amazing product.

    Iconic

I will make this quick. This was the best hour of television I have ever watched. Fantastic all the way through. By the way, I am 60.

    It's Your Game, Take It

Damn, this series was a masterpiece. It kept me on the edge of the seat. One of favourite Mini-Series (after Looking for Alaska)

Great final to a inspiring series!

What a beautifull series this was! The beginning shows a small girl who has a hard time growing up and communicating with people. The only thing she has is her one dream.. which is chess. The acting is superb and i loved how inspiring the series is. Even those who go through hardship and tragedy can achieve greatness when believing in it!

    • Trivia
The final match between Beth and Borgov is based on a real game played by Vassily Ivanchuk and Patrick Wolff at the Biel Interzonal in 1993. In the show, the moves from the first day of the match (prior to the adjournment) follow the actual game that was played. The second day's action was altered to heighten the drama - the actual match in 1993 ended in a draw.
    • Goofs
The board inexplicably changes in consecutive shots (Around 55:09). The queen and bishop were shifted one square to the right. It can't be that it shuffled around after a couple moves because the board being played on shows a dark-square bishop and the display board shows a light-square bishop and the quality of the positions are totally different. The display board shows a considerably better position for white.
    • Quotes

Jolene: Instead of the black cleaning woman, they wanted a clean, Black woman, with a nice ass and a good vocabulary.

    • Crazy credits
There's a title sequence at the end, as opposed to the previous episodes where the credits used the basic "black background, white text" format.
