    Exceptional cinematography

    "Pipe Nation" is a captivating tale set against the backdrop of Alberta's breathtaking landscapes, featuring exceptional cinematography and a wealth of exhilarating action sequences. It's truly impressive what has been accomplished with what I believe are primarily amateur actors and without the extravagant budgets typically associated with Hollywood productions. Id love to see this transformed into a series, as I believe that was the original intent. I'm excited to witness what this talented group will produce next. It's fantastic to see shows like these being created locally with homegrown talent.

    Horrible

    Literally the worst movie ever made. It's a want to be sons of anarchy with hints of oilfield work that really don't apply to the general idea. This literally has NOTHING to do with oilfield other then a couple of shotty brand names deals and hard hats. It's just "biker" dudes doing drugs and partying. It really is sad to see how the director views pipeline workers and over sexualizes the females who work pipeline. Come see Tammy from Nova Scotia she looks nothing like that. The acting is horrible and the flashback scene Ashley has with just repeated previous clips played on her wall is the worst movie stunt I've seen in my life.

    Controversy = entertainment

    Feelings can be hurt or perspectives will be challenged. The topic and personification of oil and gas is controversial. Welcome to Alberta where cowboys are still real and resources are exploited (according to some). I love that this was filmed and produced locally with real Albertans and their variety of talent. If you're not expecting some high budget Hollywood movie then you will enjoy this gritty rendition of front line oil and gas / pipeline life. You can tell there is more to this controversy and you'll be wanting to know what really lies beneath... hint: it's not all sex, drugs and laying pipe!

    A TV Show that has potential

    I didn't like rebranding it to a movie as it does have lots of gaps that need to be filled in it. But this if this continue as a show. I'm sure it will would keep other sinked in. I loved how Ashley struggles and portrays her pain and her family feeling it all. I loved how they showed the sacrifice and this longing heart. Ashley shows deep dedication to fix in, while non-stop obstacles are thrown at her.

    The story does get a little messy without the introduction of who Nick really is to Ashley. As I know the story to it, it didn't potray that. And was she with the red headed man at the time she was with him? There's a few gaps to the story line. But I see lots of potential and some reality pipelinners go through.

    For an indie movie, I think this was very well done and thought of. A group of Albertans coming together to try and relate to the oilfield women and men out there. When can we see more of it!

    Great to see local artists doing their thing!

    Although not my typical cup of tea, it was entertaining to watch a film made by a local artist in a local setting stepping out with a dream and a desire to do something no one has done before them. My hat is off to the dreamers that dream, but more importantly the ones that actually step in the arena, vs those heckling from the stands.

    As with every first effort, there will always be learning opportunities. Jordan got cut from his high school basketball team for a reason...he wasn't good enough to make the cut. PN, in my opinion isn't there yet, BUT with any major victory, there are thousands of setbacks that preceded it. Keep your head up team!

    For me; THE PRO's- The cinematography was great. I loved the bar scene and energy displayed. The theme music was awesome.

    THE CON's-Storyline was hard to follow. The characters were underdeveloped and the ending left me scratching my head.

    With a major undertaking such as this, having a vision of shooting a pilot for a miniseries that morphs into a short movie may have caused some of the challenges. I can imagine it would be very difficult to change the vision after all the footage has been filmed.
