Great documentary

Good film which gives you another perspective on a prison sentence. In a world where life goes faster every day, it's hard to imagine what it would be if you were disconnected for a long time. This film shows how inmates can disoriented and sometimes lost when they're released after a long sentence.

Excellent documentary

Excellent documentary, very well done! This gives short insights from the newly released felons, their families and the volunteers waiting to offer encouragement towards a successful transition.

Outstanding Film

The film, 12th Street follows former inmates as they are released from prison in Texas. The entire crew did an incredible job introducing us to the men and giving us a glimpse into their lives on their first day of freedom. Most of us are unaware of the circumstances these men are thrown into with very little support from the State of Texas. I know this important film will shed light on the prison system and the reforms that are necessary to set those who are formerly incarcerated on the road to success.

This is an excellent documentary that I highly recommend. It is a story depicting newly released prisoners and how little society does to actually help these people transition back into the outside world. This film was a powerful reminder of life that goes on around us that we are barely even aware of. Gregory Lovett and his team did terrific work in creating this film.

Highly recommended!

First documentary about prison but definitely not the last after watching this. The story of each individual people were captured in the best interviews, and very touching. It teaches people who came out from the jails on how to behave in this development society and also us to see them from who they really are.
