There was a lot of short funny moments in this one, with great acting from the quatuor. The setup starts a bit slowly, but it gains rythm over the golf course, hole by hole.

I believe that any golfer would find this title funny; it makes fun of all the silly rules that we must follow on a golf course. However, it goes much deeper; it raises questions about the treatment of elderly people and morality in general.

The movie starts slowly by relating each character to each other. As the golf game progresses, we discover dark secrets and hidden agendas of the players. I find the visual very calming despite the increasing tension between the players.

The title Cheater "Les Tricheurs", is a metaphor for human behaviours: a cheater on a golf course is indeed a cheater in the real life!
