Doubling Down with the Derricos

I love this show. The joy, the love for each other, Karen and Deon as the solid foundation of the family. Greag respect for Karen, for carrying multiple multiples and still look as great as she does.

All the kids look happy, and seem to have a great relationship with each other. I wish them well, and thank you for allowing me a look into your life.

Because this was an African American family being showcased on TV, I wanted to love them... BUT I like everybody minus the daddy. Maybe he's unaware that he comes off as inconsiderate & obnoxious hopefully that's just for the cameras. I don't like how his wife has to ask for permission as if he's the only one with income coming into the home. She wanted to start a business & instead of just going for it she had to ask her husband for permission & the funds like that's unacceptable. I love Gigi, older people are ALWAYS open & honest & that she is. I really hope they are done having kids. Bc in my opinion it's okay to have lots of kids if you can afford them financially but when you start producing kids with multiple health issues, esp issues that require surgeries, the decision to keep reproducing is reckless, irresponsible & unfair to the child.

Home schooling is not a good education. Religious wackos intentionally leave out important history and science. These kids need to associate with their peers and learn and get out of the house.

Indoctrinating kids to believe crazy religious crap just harms them in life.

The mother would have time to herself if the kids were at school.

There's no need to have so many children. It's impossible to give each child enough time with that many kids. It's like they're intentionally making life difficult for themselves.

All that being said, the kids seem very kind and everyone gets along well, which is nice to see.

I love how the parents teach love & unity amongst each other!!! They also keep GiGi in high regard as the matriarch of the family. They show strength & how to operate as a unit. It's a breath of fresh air that they're a show that shows love & not a lot of bickering & foolishness. I LOVE IT!!!!

My family and I LOVE this show. It is good ole feel good television. Whether or not I agree with their decision to have multiple children (because that is truly a personal decision that shouldn't cause one to negatively rate a show), the children and the family dynamics are beautiful. We have enough trashy reality television shows (which people don't seem to have as much as a visceral reaction to as they do this family's decision to have multiple children). Therefore, it is sooooo refreshing to see a reality show where there is genuine love with children being raised in a warm and nurturing environment. Hands down, one of my faves!
