Each Zenkai's design is based from a previous Super Sentai's mecha:
- Zenkai Juran's is based off Shinka Gattai Daizyuzin from Dinosaur Squadron Zyuranger (1992).
- Zenkai Gaon's is based off Hyakujuu Gattai GaoKing from Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger (2001).
- Zenkai Magine's is based off Majin Gattai MagiKing from Mahou Sentai Magiranger (2005).
- Zenkai Vroon's is based off GoGo Gattai DaiBouken from GoGo Sentai Boukenger (2006).
Contrary to previous seasons, Zenkaiger treats each Super Sentai as coming from different worlds.
According to producer Shinichiro Shirakura, the working title for this season was meant to be Sentai Sentai Sentaiger.
Unlike most Super Sentai series, the title card appears at the start of the opening credits.
