Sacha Baron Cohen in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (2020)

Goofs

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm

Edit

Continuity

Mike Pence spoke at CPAC on February 27, 2020, but when Borat goes to the UPS store afterwords to report his failure at the event, the fax is dated February 18.
All the faxes have the same date at the top of the page.
When Borat and Tutar escaping from hotel and running on the street, a white car with EU format plates was reflect on glass obviously. It was shot in Romania instead in US.
When Borat first arrives in the U.S. and is being recognized by people walking on the street, there is a man on the side wearing a mask, even though this takes place before the pandemic.

However, any responsible citizen with flu-like symptoms could have chosen to wear a mask, even before the pandemic started.
Dr Yamak injects "gypsy tears" intravenously to Borat but the direction of the needle is lateral to his arm in the first shot and towards the hand in the next.

Factual errors

The Kazakh presidential palace is in the capital Nur-Sultan (now known as Astana), not in Almaty as suggested in the movie.
Dr Yamak injects "gypsy tears" intravenously to Borat but the direction of the needle does not follow the vein and is going too deep in the flesh; in the following shot the needle is directed towards the hand instead of being directed towards the shoulder; but of course, this is mostly played for laughs.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Borat goes to the synagogue, he says "don't kill me" when Judith Dim Evans gives him a hug. This contradicts his mission of trying to be killed there. In fact, he could have said that as a reflex due to being scared of her. Also, he went there not planning to be killed by a jew, but to wait for the next mass shooting, so he could just not wanna be killed by a jew.
The Kazakh president, Borat sons, and the villagers are speaking Romanian, not Kazakh.

As stated in the Trivia, this satirizes that American audiences won't necessarily notice the differences in foreign languages.

Miscellaneous

When they are going through the manual, Borat's daughter Tutar asks, "Could a woman read a book?". Both subtitles and Borat's response are about "Could a woman drive a car?".

Anachronisms

When the fax is answered by Nazarbayev on the news about Johnny, it is dated Feb. 18; when making the new proposal regarding Pence, the answer is dated Feb. 8; and the following evening, including the Mason party and after the Pence meeting, the fax communication continues on Feb. 18.

Errors in geography

When Borat playback where he went, the map showing Wuhan but the following footage is in Hong Kong.
