Ten years after his father disappeared mysteriously, another series of similar events shake 16-year old Ben's home town. Still haunted by his father's death and yet desperate to find answers, he teams up with his shy classmate Julia, whose younger sister vanished too. With the help of the self-regarding Alex and his shady girlfriend, they drive into the nearby forest, hoping to find Anna. Soon they find themselves attacked by a mysterious creature that seems to know their fears. But not every member of the group is ready to face them.
