    Amazing piece of work

Action, faith, drama, and so much culture in such a short film. Everything from the plot, the acting, even the symbolism of every scene is art.

I really enjoyed the style and design of this film.

    Must watch.

A deep, thought provoking film and extremely well made

I was fortunate to come across The Sound Eye through the lead actor Wassim Hawat.

After watching a trailer and hearing other good reviews around, I took the plunge and paid a mighty $7 (absolutely well spent) to watch this film.

I was really blown away by how confident the film is from the get go, It very cleverly takes its time to deliver character beats and story arcs as its own pace, deliberately without giving too much away and allowing the viewer to uncover some twists and turns with the main character Vincent (Wassim Hawat).

The Sound Eye is a solid film delving deep into faith, morality, retribution and revenge, love, betrayal, fate, acceptance, loss and the ability of one's self to move on. And recover from personal trauma

I was particularly blown away by Wassim Hawat's performance, stealing the show with his wide range of emotions. There was a particular scene between his character Vincent and Gloiria (Shakila Zab) where you can truly see the happiness in Vincent's eyes and how head over heels (quite literally at one point) he is with this woman.

The Sound Eye is an extremely solid film with some deep meanings well worth discovering.

Highly recommended for fans of independent cinema with a psychological twist.

    Powerful Australian Film

A great psychological story in which sees the protagonist played by the talented Wassim Hawat, portray such a complex character with a gritty vulnerability which kept me engaged from the moment he entered the first scene till the very end. A powerful and truthful representation of what I call, a real human being and a story that we all can relate to. Great twists and turns. Brilliant cinematography, editing, as we see great pace that keeps the story flowing and moving towards a climax that is unexpected and a real. Great work guys. I definitely gives this a top rating with one of the best films I've seen so far. This team of film makers are definitely on my radar and a team I will be honoured to work with.

    Absolutely Impressive

Some of the things that I loved about the film:

Themes were really clear - I loved the way that religion was constantly conflated with the protagonist
    • through him using the camera, playing "god" by being the videographer and the subjects of the film being his pawns
    • through the conflation of religion with violence, what can truly be forgiven?

    • the silencing of women, it appeared the protagonist put his love on a pedestal, which is common In religious practices, and once her purity was shattered he became undone

The length was perfect for the story

The contrast of the suburban Australian setting with the supreme nature of god was fascinating

A lot of the shots were super impressive, especially when character's were physically reflected through the cross

Character's obsession with marriage and love - he was indoctrinated into worshipping these seemingly perfect and pure ideologies and his world fell apart when they were dark and complex.

    Masterfully builds tension and intrigue!!!

The performances are captivating across the board, and very well portrayed with depth and nuance, adding layers of complexity to the unfolding drama.

Visually, this short film is striking, with atmospheric cinematography that captures both the beauty and darkness of its setting and a haunting sound design, from the opening scene, throughout the heightening tension, the film keeps audiences on edge until the heart-pounding finale.

Overall, "The Sound Eye" is a true gem offering a unique riveting exploration of obsession and revenge, propelled by strong performances, atmospheric direction, and a compelling narrative makes this film a must-watch for anyone craving a thought-provoking and exhilarating journey into the depths of the human psyche.
