Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?

That question is answered somewhat in this inspirational drama about a competitive cyclist who must find a way to go on after a terrible tragedy rocks his family. I won't give anything away, but suffice to say there is plenty of heartfelt drama and inspiration for anyone who has experienced one of life's worst nightmares. I liked the acting, the scriptwriting, and the way the story unfolded. Sure it's a bit preachy with the central theme being around God and faith, but we need more of that in the world today. While watching the movie I experienced all of the emotions I hope to find in a film, so what more can I ask for? Very well done!

    A stunning comeback

Star and producer Scotty Curlee plays a champion bicycle rider like Lance Armstrong who after losing his small daughter in a car accident gives way to a lot temptation for substance abuse. But the chance to coach Michael Cuddire who is switching sports from competitive skiing to bicycling gives some reason to get out of bed in the morning with daughter gone and wife Sharon Weston having left him because she couldn't take his new bad behavior.

Curley and Cuddire prove good for each other as it turns out because Curley's training is good and Cuddire imparts his faith to Curley.

As a Christian film this one isn't too bad and might be viewed by more than church audiences. One thing in which the story fell down was the rivalry between Curlee and fellow cyclist Jordan Whiley. These two really can't stand each other and we never find out what the beef was all about.

Still The Potential Inside has merit beyond church circles.
