Jeez, The Happytime Murders looks better than this... and that's made by an ACTUAL PUPPET COMPANY!
It's just not funny. I can laugh at left and right jokes when they're funny. This has got no punchlines. I mean, you can tell it's a comedy cause there are puppets and nonsensical situations that are written to be humerous skits. However, it's just not funny. Not once did I get close to a laugh. In fact, what I got was uncomfortable, like if you went to a show for your friend who does stand-up and he does his bit, but no one laughs, he just stands there asking, "Is this thing on?"
I highly doubt, the good reviews on here are from people who watched this doldrum. Too bad cause I've enjoyed Robert Smigel through the years.

Seems like most (all?) of the 1-star reviews are just from conservatives who 1) don't understand satire 2) think everyone is out to get them 3) still believe the election was stolen.
It's important to realize, though, that "people" like Trump and Ted Cruz are already caricatures and puppets, so portraying them as actual puppet caricatures seems somewhat unnecessary, and as such, some of the jokes involving them just fall flat.
The impressions are well-done, in the sense that the voices are realistic, but there is more cringe than humor in a lot of these sketches. I expected a bit more from Smigel, really.

This "spitting image" bad wannabe is really unfunny. Never mind your political inclination, the jokes are lame and badly constructed.

Claims to poke fun at both sides of the aisle. Regardless of which side you lean I think you'll find the writing to be seriously lacking. Show was only 20 minutes felt like 90.

Yeah, there's thirty minutes of my life I'll never get back. Half way through I realized this was as good as it was going to get. Trying to be edgy while including every irritating headline just did not play.

This is bad, like really, really bad. And not in a fun way. Just boring and terrible. The other reviewer is totally correct in their assessment. I have no idea why this was randomly suggested to me to watch on whichever app. The only thing having to do with this show that is quality are the puppets themselves, obviously a lot of time was spent making them, which makes it sadder that no one bothered to spend any time making sure the writing was good.
I just saw the first episode, but I thought it was refreshingly hilarious. Not laughing at a show called "Naked and Afraid with Ted Cruz" would be really hard. The puppets look great too.

It has been at least 20 years since I watched a "sketch" comedy that made made fun of politicians and celebrities regardless of their political leanings. I am in my 50's and I enjoyed SNL up until about 1999 because they mocked everyone equally. I miss those simpler times where people could laugh at themselves, laugh at comedy (realizing it is comedy) and not get offended by way too many innocuous things.
In other words, you can mock my favorite politician(s) or his/her opponents equally and I can laugh at it all if it is done well.
The previews/trailers for the show were not good and missed the mark. I only watched it by chance, so Fox might want to rethink their commercials for the show.

If you didn't have a chance to be disappointed in the 2021 Oscars , here is your chance to regret owning a television. I have to wonder if the network execs or show runners have ever seen " Lets Be Real" and why it has such high ratings. It wasn't cleaver, it wasn't funny, it wasn't entertaining. So how did it get a second season?
I can tell that all the bad reviews are from the people who can't take a joke at the expensive of their own political party, the show is hilariously satirical and coming at such a perfect time in American politics.
After just two episodes I think they are trying to be funny and balanced. Although, most of the writers are typically liberal.
Wow. The election special episode was at least decent. This was really bad; like really, really bad. The Chrissy Teigen character was so irritating and unlikeable and the entire Mandalorian segment was boring as hell. The Trump stuff was slightly amusing thanks to the outrageous prices and silly behavior. The Ted Cruz stuff was plain unfunny. Flashing his privates didn't make it better. The worst joke was when the survivor attempted to commit suicide just so he wouldn't have to hear Cruz's annoying bitchiness. That was pretty tasteless.
Joe Biden's segment about cursing on network TV was a huge waste of space. Facebook one was okay but Jeff bezos ruined it. OJ Simpson segment was awful. Just unfunny and stupid. Why is OJ getting the vaccine before others? Oh right, criminals have access before real people. Andrew Cuomo's stuff was probably the only decent stuff cause I did get a few chuckles out of his sexual harassment remarks. Still not enough to save it from being a disaster.
Overall, this was a huge mess in and out. If I thought family guy was weak this week, look at this! I only laughed once and smiled like three times. The rest was either boring, tasteless, or left me with no reaction. There's only three more episodes so I'd be happy to check them all out, and I hope this is only a bad start.
I'm all for poking fun at events and people but this was just lazy. It's better than Our Cartoon President but that's a super low bar!
0.5/5, would give a 0 if the Andrew Cuomo stuff wasn't amusing.

Listen, I LOVE offensive comedy. And I loved the Triumph skits. But I'm halfway through episode 1 and haven't even broken a smile. Just sitting here with a confused look on my face waiting for the funny to start. I don't think it's coming. It's just annoyingly stupid.

How this got green kit for TV is beyond me. The "jokes" are lazy. It's t up as a sketch comedy with a combination of real people and puppets. It feels like the inside of a 5 year olds mind. Illogical and erratic.

A bad joke told by a puppet is still bad joke. I made it through about 5 skits without a joke even cracking a smile.

This is a sad sad attemp lt at sarcastic humor. The jokes are so poorly written and nonsensical. Poorly delivered as the writers seem to have to explain each joke with additional dialog...just bad.
I think theyre going for a sarcastic/edgy feel...but its not, its just not...

It's just a terrible attempt to try to do a Saturday night live/Trevor Noah show with puppets. This may be the worse thing I've seen backed by fox.

Not a show for those out there who cannot stand political satire that mocks both sides of the aisle. But for those of you who miss the days when network television comedy would actually poke fun at everything, without the fear of cancellation from the "woke" crowd, this is a show worth checking out.

This is the lowest the bar can possibly be set for a comedy show. Horrible. Zero laughs. Worst writing EVER. Im upset I was forced to give it even 1 star cause it does NOT deserve it. This show should apologize to the viewers who lost a small part of their lives to this garbage just cause the Trump puppet LOOKED funny in the trailer.

There are no jokes... They're trying to be a parody of people but they just say what the real people would say, but somehow make it dumber than reality. I gave it 2 episodes and didn't laugh once, let alone find any creative value. Don't waste your time.

Basically a one word review...Freedumb. Comedy for the tedious "two sides of the same coin" thinkers who force a false equivalence onto every situation in the name of some sort of fantasy America where we'd all get along if we simply treated the concerns of a privileged majority shrieking about being "replaced" as greater concerns than those of people who have been murdered, oppressed and marginalized both historically and in real time. Every time any FOX division tries to take on political comedy it always seems to fail miserably. This one is no exception. At least it will be able to keep the Half Hour Comedy Hour company in the digital landfill of YouTube.

This show won't last. It's target audience is solely the left-leaning half of America. The makers aren't smart enough to realize they would have doubled their audience if they had poked fun at both the left and the right.

It's not worth wasting your time to even watch this liberal trash. It's not funny, just plain ignorant.
