Toby has set his heart on his father's full recovery and has begun saving money to buy his father a gift when he is released from the hospital. Nneamaka holds a degree in architecture but is unable to find a job in the field. As bills pile up and the family home is threatened with foreclosure, Nneamaka is forced to take whatever work she can find. Suffering humiliation and indignity at the hands of both customers and her employer, Nneamaka begins to breakdown. As a father fights for his life, his family's future hangs in the balance. Will they be able to stand through the emotional and financial pressures or will they be torn apart?
