Daryl Hannah and Tom Conti in Blind Revenge (2009)

Trivia

Blind Revenge

Edit
Last cinema film of 'Simon MacCorkindale'.
The title of the film was originally "Blind Man's Bluff"
Blind Revenge (2010) was adapted from the novel 'A Closed Book' by its author Gilbert Adair. The adaption borrows heavily from Trauma (1976) (1976):

1) Both movies have more than one title (Blind Revenge/A Closed Book) and (Exposé/Trauma/House On Straw Hill).

2. Both movies open with a typist applying for a live in position of an amanuensis for the writing of a book.

3. Both are movies of revenge by the typist upon the author. The author having wronged the typist's husband in Exposé and the typist's uncle in Blind Revenge, both dead.

4. In both movies the author has a housemaid that is dismissed my the typist but defiantly returns to the house days later.

5. The author in both movies is called Paul.

6. In both movies the author enjoys one candle lit meal by the fireplace with his typist.

7. In both movies the author asks his typist if she is a lesbian.

8. In both movies the author creeps in to the bedroom of the typist who is sleeping (pretending to sleep in Exposé) naked and exposed.

9. Sexual abuse is a theme in both movies.

10. Both movies run for just under 90 minutes.

Further, a remake (Stalker (2010)) of Exposé was released less than a year after Blind Revenge was released.
The tune that Sir Paul sings and hums in the bath is Nessun Dorma (Let No One Sleep) from the opera Turandot by Giacomo Puccini (premiering Sunday, 25 April 1926). This was the signature tune of theThe Three Tenors, formed in 1990. This opera has been heard in other shows and films.
The jigsaw with the skull on the floor is based on the painting The Ambassadors (1533) by Hans Holbein the Younger. It is also entitled "Jean de Dinteville and Georges de Selve", which are the names of the two men in it. The way the skull is shaped is referred to as an anamorphism, like later paintings of King Charles I of England, which camouflaged his image, lest Roundheads found such paintings, the image only visible by means of a round, reflective tube.
