Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock, James Marsden, Luke Wilson, Peter Dinklage, Tracy Morgan, and Zoe Saldaña in Death at a Funeral (2010)

Trivia

Death at a Funeral

Edit
In the original Death at a Funeral (2007) screenplay, the character that Peter Dinklage ended up playing (named Peter) was of average height, and not written as an achondroplastic dwarf. The character was changed for him after he auditioned and was cast. He then became the only actor to reprise his role (with the name of Frank) in this remake.
During a chaotic scene, Uncle Russell (Danny Glover) states: "I'm too old for this shit!", his favorite quote in role of Roger Murtaugh from the Lethal Weapon film franchise. This would be the second non-Lethal Weapon film he has quoted this line in after his cameo appearance in Maverick (1994) with his Lethal Weapon co-star Mel Gibson.
In one scene, Ryan (Martin Lawrence) clarifies that Aaron (Chris Rock) is only a few months older, both were born in the same year. In real life, Chris Rock and Martin Lawrence were both born in 1965 but were in two months apart from each other. Rock was born on February 7th and Lawrence was born on April 16th.
This movie is a remake of the 2007 movie of the same name. Although Hollywood has a history of making American versions of foreign films, the original versions are usually in a language other than English. Not the case here, since the original film was a British production and filmed in English. This is a very unusual case of a remake being made very quickly of an English-language movie that had a theatrical release in the U.S. Both versions of the story enjoyed success worldwide. The 2007 version earned just over $46 million, and this version earned just over $49 million.
Kevin Hart appears in the beginning of the film. He cites Chris Rock as an influence for his stand up comedy.
