Plot

The story revolves around the postman delivering his last letter set in the period of 1971 during the Indo-Pak war. The postman in the film is impatient carrying the terrible news of the war. He is muddled between the war he is fighting within himself and the war with his duty because of the pessimistic dilemma around him. He seems to be anxious about his personal life as well as his duty. After delivering a telegram to a grieving family informing them of the death of their only son, the postman keeps thinking about quitting. He feels cursed as being a messenger of death which is reflected in his actions of deciding to quit where on the same day he is to deliver another telegram. The journey of delivering the letter seems to be stressful and struggling. But at last when he delivers the telegram unexpectedly he finds a ray of hope that helps him to resolve his problems facing in his personal life and an aspiration to continue his duty where he finally finds the answers to his delusional questions of life.—Pankaj Sonawane
