How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom (2021)

But Souma's idea of heroism is more practical than most, he wants to rebuild the flagging economy of the new land he's found himself in! Betrothed to the princess and abruptly planted on the throne, this realist hero must gather talented people to help him get the country back on its feet--not through war, or adventure, but with administrative reform.

    Addicting

To be honest, there are a lot of problems in the story from the viewpoint of a critical watcher. But like every other media, Anime is also solely for enjoyment. And I have enjoyed this 26 episodes and binged it in one sitting. The story is not very complex, not so many things are going on at the same time that need a lot your attention. A very relaxing watch. I loved the series. I will be waiting for another season.

The premise is taken quite seriously

The overarching story and world have a lot of potential. I really appreciate the real consequences of political missteps instead of just making up once you've defeated an enemy.

The world looks generic of the surface but is quite unique and well thought out. The show has tons of elements to work with because the big bad and bigger nations haven't even made an appearance yet. The real icing on the cake would be if the mc really became the tyrant that everyone is trying to avoid creating but that out come seems unlikely.

The biggest issues with the show is there awful limited animation in some scenes and the harem / iseki tropes that fell out place most of the time but do have some relevance to the plot.

    It's definitely worth the watch.

    Really great series

I enjoyed this series show much that I binged watched it, there's so much to appreciate in this anime. I like the story, the war scenes, also Characters.

As the name suggests if a mature civil servant got summoned to another world that was on the brink of war, how would they conduct themselves as the summoned hero?

You guess its as realist as they come right, so that's exactly it in this anime.

I love how economy restrains are addressed in this series and how the character tackles challenges as they come along.

Having said all of this you would need 100+ episodes to show the full depth of the world building, its amazing how the producers managed to condense information so much with an awe entertaining series. Well Done Team!

Hope to see more of this show soon :)

Very Boring Isekai, Lame Protagonist, Demon King is Nowhere to be found

How a Realist Hero rebuilt the Kingdom is boring as hell. While I was watching it each episode seems like eternity, it was very frustrating. Realist Hero What? I mean he was teleported into a magical kingdom where people got magic, demons and monster exists, and there is a Demon King too and he himself got magic and the writer is talking about reality! There is nothing "Heroic" about the protagonist. Also they say the Demon King wants to take over the kingdom, yet he is nowhere to be seen. You watch all the episode in season 1 and he never showed up, not even once. Maybe the Demon King like to rest and sleeps too much. Maybe he will start working in season 2. Nope, he is nowhere to be found even in season 2. That is some real Demon King, who wants to take over the Kingdom. Who does absolutely nothing in whole 2 season. Also why is the protagonist even called a Hero let alone a Real Hero, all he does is manage the Kingdom as best as he can. It about a king and his management system. There is no Hero in the story.

In conclusion it is a very boring Isekai with a Lame Protagonist and his kingdom management system.

Ultimately a little disappointing, but still enjoyable.

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom asks for a lot of patience from its viewers, and I have to warm you it doesn't exactly pay off. Your enjoyment of this anime will entirely depend on if you find they journey to get to nowhere an entertaining one, and I kind of did. This show follows a guy who is reincarnated into a medieval world with warring countries, and uses his knowledge from his past life to lead the county he's helping. I thought this idea, although executed slowly, was well done and I found it entertaining to watch. This show is labeled as a romance; it is not and don't expect one or you'll be disappointed. A season 3 or a movie to wrap up the story would've helped this show a lot, but as it stands its ending is very rushed and rather unsatisfying. Overall I cannot recommend this show to a casual anime fans, not even for a one time watch. Only if you meet the criteria I described and the issues I pointed out don't bother you, then give it a watch.
