D.L. Hughley is 47 today. Didn’t think he was that old. The star of the comedy stage, TV and film, was last seen hosting his own show on CNN (D.L. Hughley Breaks The News), which was short-lived, lasting for just 1 season, from 2008 to 2009. His IMDb resume lists 2 films due for release this year – something called Roadkill, and action comedy which stars Paz Vega, and another comedy titled, Player’s School, with Tom Green. Both will likely go straight-to-dvd.
Anna Maria Horsford is 62 years old today! For some reason I didn’t think she was in her 60s… maybe 50s, but not 60s. Time flies… Most will likely remember her as Thelma Frye from the 80s/90s sitcom Amen. I actually used to love that show and rarely missed it. She’s acted consistently since then, in both TV and film, and will next be seen in Our Family Wedding alongside Forest Whitaker,...

CNN has announced that they are ending the D.L. Hughley Breaks The News show after a short run of only a few months. The looming question is if it's truly just a matter of logistics, or whether the news network got more than what they bargained for with the controversial host.
D.L. Hughley has been a popular comic for the past decade and recently co-starred on NBC's ill-fated Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip. Breaks the News debuted on CNN on October 25, 2008 as a comedy news show, shown weekly on Saturday nights. The self-described "news junkie" wanted to let everyone know that "This ain't your daddy's CNN." He interviewed a typical assortment of newsmakers, pundits, and ordinary people but with his own personal spin. The results were quite different than what you'd find elsewhere on the news network.
While Hughley's show was anything but dull, it may have been a little too cutting-edge for CNN.

Hughley's CNN Show Coming To An End
Comedian D.L. Hughley has quit his weekly show for news network CNN to spend more time with his family.
The actor has been travelling between New York, where he films D.L. Hughley Breaks The News, and Los Angeles, where his family is now located.
But he is tiring of the constant commute and has decided to step down from his comedy news show at the end of March. Instead, he will become a part-time contributor for the cable news outlet.
A statement released by a CNN spokesperson reads: "D.L. approached CNN about being permanently based in Los Angeles, where his family lives. To accommodate this, we agreed upon a new role where he will be a contributor for the network based in Los Angeles. We are eager to continue our relationship with D.L., who is a tremendous talent and a valued colleague."...
