Hadn't watched NCIS LA in a while and this episode aired. It was like watching an episode of Friends. The relationship aspect is the majority of the show and oh yeah, they are federal agents so they have to investigate some crime, but it is such a minor subplot that at the end, Fatima has to editorialize and explain what was going on, because from watching the episode you wouldn't know.

Not worth watching.

What has happened to the writing, the acting and the filming on this show that I used to enjoy. It has lost its energy. The constant headshot bouncing back and forth is hard to watch. The dialog makes no sense and I find myself just wondering off. The dis'ing of LA and the rambling about millennials in this episode has nothing to do with the supposed plot line. I get Covid limitations but having no more than two main characters together and any time seems over kill. Watch other primetime shows and it's no where near this bad

This episode seemed rushed to me, as if it was shot while being written without the benefit of read-through, re-writes and re-shoots. Fatima and Rountree might as well have been going straight from cue cards. Wondering what my dog is dreaming before he twitches himself awake is more entertaining than those two. They hardly act themselves out of a paper bag so it's better they're not masked.

Nonsense banter of G once being a lifeguard and Kensi a bouncer did not elevate this episode and with no ridiculous shoot-out (What?! Shut the front door Morgan Freeman!) or Hetty or Beale, this episode could have been titled "Paycheck" as either were just as likely causes for the production and airing of this mediocrity.

5 stars for the regulars plus 1 star (6/10) for being a potential insomnia remedy.

Just as the Kensie / Deeks cutesy drivel has started to abate, we have the new kids bantering nonsense. Though I really don't care if Deeks buys a house or not. Shut them up and go catch creeps.

Sorry but I'm not feeling Roundtree, seems like he's trying to hard to fit in. I'm starting to like Fatima, she's alright at times. But Roundtree, no please get rid of this guy. But this dude is a regular cast member now sigh.

Also about Eric, you barely see him and Nell together anymore and they barely interact with each other. The fact that he's gay in real life, honestly their relationship doesn't seem like a relationship anymore, she should of hooked up with LL COOl L, she needed a real man anyway haha.

Also, what is up with this tiresome storyline with Deeks? Why is a LAPD detective working with NCIS anyway? I'm a former LAPD Narcotics officer , they're not even allowed to do that. But ok its a tv show, but why are they benching him to the side, why do they keep doing that with characters? So the new characters can try to work themselves in?

Its like nobody on the show has chemistry anymore and the reason i think, they keep bringing in so many damn characters. So now its 6 freaking agents? We only need 4 characters and keep bringing in guests stars, but 6 characters.

Season 12 has really become a bore, and I'm trying my best to force myself to watch the episodes and not skipped them. I'm on episode 6 now. Hope it gets better.
