This was a case of art, or porn, imitating life. Director Marc Cushman and the JKP production company came together for two days in January 2005 to shoot "Beauty and the Bodyguard," a scripted feature starring everyone seen in this cast, with 'Randy Spears' playing the male lead. And then Spears called in sick. A replacement was sought, but no one with the necessary acting skills was available on such short notice. So, with producer Jill Kelly's blessing, Markman put the script aside and began improvising a movie about the making of a movie where its star is late at reporting to work. Even the crew, including Production Manager Triglet and director Markman are seen on camera for this all too real satire. Markman did finally get to shoot Beauty and the Bodyguard (2005) later in the year, with Spears, but for another adult movie company - Hustler.
