We learn a little more about Dan's involvement in matters, and he learns several secrets that have been hidden away.
It's definitely built on the first episode, this continued to set the scene, develop the characters, and explain why some events are happening.
This had a bit more of the chiller element than the first part, and one scene in particular was very freaky, it left you wondering what on Earth was going on.
I wish I knew what was going on with those adverts, I thought at one point that Netflix was giving up Brits US medicine adverts, I'm bemused, but interested.
Samuel, I was expecting them to introduce some sort of handsome villain, and here he is, I'm keen to learn what part be has to play.
I thought this was a very solid second episode, it's hugely atmospheric, it's creepy, and they definitely upped the horror element.
Very good, 8/10.

Yes, it's in the vein of repetitive 'found footage' movies, but this is highly intelligent and way above average - Another notch up on the creepiness scale, gentle storytelling and solid character building. A WTF moment about 'knocking on the door' and an unexpected (but very welcome and promising) twist at the end. This is a really good mystery that is reluctant to be unravelled... Absolutely love it so far!
This episode is as visually stunning as the last. The pops of color here and there for... certain things really draw your attention to them and what they could possibly mean in the long run. This episode definitely had my head spinning a little as there was so much new information to take in, but it's still got that creepy, watch and find out vibe that so few things in the horror/thriller have these days.
Definitely an exposition-heavy episode, but I love the way our two main characters interact and their support systems.

- TriviaWhen Jess and Melody go into the camera supply store, Jess gives the clerk a claim ticket and is handed a plastic toy-like video camera. This is the PXL2000 camcorder, manufactured in 1987 by Fisher Price (with its usual child demographic in mind). What is particularly unique about this camera is that it did not use any sort of videotape - instead, it captured low-resolution monochrome video and audio to a standard audio cassette (there is a brief clip showing its visual quality when Jess videos Melody, saying "I make movies too.") Its moody, noir-ish aesthetic has made it highly collectable amongst artists, media historians, and filmmakers - there is even a film festival (PXL THIS) which is dedicated to projects shot exclusively on the PXL2000.
- GoofsWhen Melody is trying on clothes while filming herself, the camera pans up and down, but the camera in her hand doesn't move.
