The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace

Its alright. The animation is different. You would either love it or hate it. I personally didn't really prefer it having watched so many animes in the conventional style. The story is fast paced and there is plenty of action. However, there is plenty of gore, references to paedophilia and allusion to rape as well. Definitely an 18+ anime. Not everyone's cup of tea but I would watch season 2 if it comes out for the storyline.

The story is good, and the action is certainly there! The animation style is different and I dig it! However, it is really hard to keep up with the subtitles, especially when they are doing the fast explanations of things. Gets frustrating having to rewind or pause constantly.

I love the art style and character design. Every scene is gorgeous and has excellent composition. The story is simple but great, with many reversal.

The anime contains lots of violence and sexual innuendo. It also holds a satiric attitude towards religion. If you don't mind these, it will be a great experience to watch this animation.

What upsets me is that the story ends suddenly, at its climax.

This anime is very different from your traditional seinen. It is extremely dark and mature. The plot is unique. Rather than the traditional plot whereby the villain hunts the protagonists, it was the other way round with the protagonists pinning the villains in a tough corner. The fights and action scenes are phenomenal and the animation quality was nothing but high class. It is definitely 18+ in terms of the highly mature content it contains.
