Otheon is inspired in Lisbon, Portugal. The subway gates Rody passes by resemble the gates in subways around Lisbon. The subways lines are the same as the ones in Lisbon (green/ blue/ red/ yellow). The 25th of April Bridge is prominently featured and a square like the one in Rossio. This is confirmed when the heroes find out that one of the bombs is in Otheon, and a pin marking it is on top of Portugal.
There significant links to the the manga and the anime at the beginning such as they mentioned and have a statue of the 'shining baby' ( the first person to develop a quirk) and the Quirk singularity theory that Humarize believe in which of course was later revealed to be theorised by Doctor Garaki ( the doctor who told Deku he didn't nor will develop a quirk)
Guests coming to see the Movie in Theaters received a Promotional Booklet with Character Art Sheets, Q&A's & a Short Original Prologue to the film written by the series Original Mangaka, Kohei Horikoshi.
Similar to the First Film, Season 5 of the Show featured an Anime Original Prologue to the Movie.
Unlike the last two movies, this is the only movie that doesn't feature any members of the league of villains (which are now currently called the paranormal liberation front) including All for One.
