The sincere intent of the plot was quite evident in its execution. The performers had excelled in their respective domains. Alas! The title hardly ever succeeded in achieving that level of sweetness. The protagonist aka Chini needed a lot of grooming especially in the department of dialogue delivery. Paired alongside the stalwarts she had a lot to live up to and she fell below expectations.

The storyline of the movie is not much interesting but acting is good.

A decent movie. The movie is based on thr relationship between mother and her daughter. You will think this at starting. But there is a BIG NO ! the story is something else. There is something between the mother and daughter which you will discover in the middle of the movie.

Now let's talk about the execution. The execution was decent, not too good or not too bad.

In acting department the actor/actresses gave their 200% . Extremely good performances given by the lead actresses.

Their was some lacking with the movie. Sometimes you will think that the director should add something more in the love relationship. But the captain of the ship was good with his part. He played very safely. This movie is available on hoichoi, so you can go and watch this with your family. If you are a girl then the movie is for you.

The movie has a very cery refreshing and different story line. All the actors aced in their portrayals of their respective characters. Lovely screenplay. What lacking was a proper direction. The director couldn't give thd movie a proper direction. So all the incidents keep coming one after another in a very very haphazard manner. Suddenly uou will feel that you are losing the track of the whole movie. Such a bold and unconventional story needed a much stronger direction. The actor pulled the movie as much as they could. Also the movie was dealing with stereotype in so many ways. But it failed to say that out loud somewhere. The cire thing Cheeni was dealing with the conflict between her mother and her idea of mother, her idea of rebel and rebel. So things were needed to be addressed in a few words somewhere. Hence after having so many critical high points, the movie still feel like lacking a few things.

A fantastic storyline.... containing our real life scenarios.....between mother and her daughter....with some beautiful dialogues and punches...and also awesome cast performance.

This movie is a must watch for all the girls and mothers out there. Acting and casting were top notch , but the story could be elevated. There's always a jumbled up relationship between mother and daughter especially in Asian part. This movie portrays that beautifully. It is realistic, funny and a good watch but could've been better.

From start to end Mainak Bhowmick tried a showcase an uneven relationship between a daughter & mother without any proper background.Therefore unfortunately it just got jumbled up and added with some serious over the top performances from both Madhumita Sarkar and Aparajita Adhya it just got worse.With some forgettable music & screen play the movie do not have any wining point in any of its course.Sourav Das did not have much scope but yes was decent enough on his own screen time. In a word : Avoidable

The movie was disappointing compared to the promises it made in the trailer.

The script was not well written the story was short but it kept dragging.

The mother's death was just placed to create sympathy in tje audience which it didn't.

The lead female protagonist who played the daughter didnt deliver and the story was banking on her shoulder.

The dialogues and script both seemed no thought had been put into it.

If I am investing my Time and Hard earned money on a movie I except to feel gratified at the end if the movie.

It was a painstaking watch and I will not recommend it to anyone.

This film has brought realistic scenarios of families drama what we see around us and around our family and how long we suffer from depression and we have gone through - in the end want to finish with the "Cheeni" to life lessons. I do recommend to the every parents to watch out this remarkable film to figure out how depression kills families love-bond and how they can improve further their lives a bit.

Now a days Bengali movies have become a joke.All the movies have same kind of stories.It will bore you to the core.Do yourself a favor stay away from this crap.I wish I could rate it zero star.

A fantastic story and love the bond between mother and daughter with some beautiful dialogues.. and madhumita nailed it ..

The story on pen and paper might have looked good but average execution failed to do justice to the story. Its too "telefilm-esque". Performance wise Aparajita Adhya shines but sometimes she is too loud and Sourav does justice to his character. Madhumita Sarkar needs to work on her dialogue delivery. Whenever she goes low pitch, its hard to understand what she is saying. Also she is a bad choice for the role of Cheeni as she lacks the nuance thats needed for the character.

Watched it only for Aparajita .. Dumb acting by Cheeni. Too much overacting . Poor content. Wanted to give zero stars but that's not available. Bengali movies are really.

Truly an awesome movie of a mother and daughter pair emerging from the shadows of a traumatic relationship and learning to love and live and trust all over again. Awesome acting by all leads specially the senior actress Aparajita Adhya. Though in this case, it is a story of mother and daughter but very true for anyone who has seen domestic violence and been impacted by it.

Good story but should have take a realistic approach at the end

One of the very good movies with mother-daughter relationship. Thought the ending would be slightly different than this usual, though. Madhumita has done a splendid job in bringing the shades in the character. Nice and apt music from Amit-Ishan. Great one from you, Mainak!!

Best movie I have seen. That's Madhumita Sarcar's 2nd movie, my favourite actress forever. I have seen this on an OTT platform , Hoichoi. And Aparajita adhya, Sourav das, also best. All their acting is just mind blowing. A fresh, awesome, dramatic, thriller, comedy and horror stories ❤👍🔥

This film is completely based on today's generation gap between children and mothers... Every character has played their role flawlessly... Last but not the least this movie deliberately giving us a message about domestic violence n which is phenomenal... Well directed movie... ❤❤.... Superb comedy, good storyline, casting awesome... Story is little similar with '102 notout'.
