Fed up with their mundane lives, George and Stanley decide to chase fame as their heightened alter egos, "The Polterguys", capturing their adventures as paranormal investigators in hopes of selling their show to the highest bidder. With success (sort of) within reach, the men realize they aren't on the same page about their futures and must decide whether to continue together or go it alone.

Left to his own devices in New York City, George begins to realize how much Stanley actually contributed to making their show watchable. Is a last-minute investigation at a football field back home the ticket to their reconciliation?

While filming an episode regarding claims of a ghost that kills young couples at a Victorian-era bridge, George and Stanley find themselves face-to-face with the alleged killer...but George yearns for more than just looking.

With George now unwillingly whisked away to Hilda's Void, Stanley has a run-in with a strange librarian while researching the bridge, and the centuries-old mystery of Lovers Leap begins to unravel.

George and Stanley travel to a remote cabin to investigate claimed sightings of a dead serial-cannibal-murder's spirit. But, wouldn't you know it, the only thing scarier than the supernatural is trying to bunk with each other for a week.

Months after their falling out, and no longer friends, George and Stanley reluctantly reunite as Guests of Honor at the Halloweenapalooza Convention. But, a paranormal event of cosmic proportions may force the men together once more.

In the Season 1 finale, George and Stanley must set aside their differences to defeat the evil lurking beneath the haunted Hotel Ottumwa, save Halloweenapalooza, and maybe learn why the chicken strip platter only contains 1 chicken strip.
