Kevin McNally was originally cast as Mr Behrman, but he was not able to take the cast because of a stage play directed by Kenneth Branagh. Then, producers chose David Bailie, who was also part of Jack Sparrow's crew in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003).
