Very Creative Story

Allison dreams about a murder, and sees a witness (Sam Trammell) to the murder. Then she sees the same witness at the crime scene, and dreams about him and his partner blackmailing the killer. Then she meets the doctor at a local park and talks to him. Then his ghost shows up at her house, dressed in his doctor garb.

Allison takes a while to put it together. Having seen Flatliners and similar themed movies / TV shows, I knew what Sam Trammell was doing. Trammell tells Allison that he is blackmailing people to get money for his wife and kids because he is dying of cancer.

His partner in crime, Emily Bergl, wants to keep the $500,000 they got from their first blackmail victim, and so she sets up Trammell to flatline one more time, permanently.

Allison and the now permanent ghost Trammell plan ahead, and the final confrontation between Allison and Emily is very cool.

Trivia
This is the 1st episode we see Ariel wearing a wig. She shaved her hair for the part in My Sisters Keeper.

Goofs
At Ariel's school parking lot, Joe is talking to Ariel from the driver's seat. In the side mirror one can see the state flag of California with its distinctive brown bear on a white background. The show is set in Arizona, a state with a very different color scheme.
