Trivia

Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie

Edit
Had a premiere of 13.6 million viewers, making it the second watched Disney Original Movie next to High School Musical 2 (2007) (17 million viewers).
More than 350 special effects were used in the film.
Competed for "Outstanding Children's Program" at the Emmys 2010 against the series from which this movie is a spin-off from (Wizards of Waverly Place (2007)). The movie won.
Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie was filmed mainly in San Juan, Puerto Rico, between February and March 2009. Although different alternative locations were searched, such as the island of Margarita in Venezuela, Trinidad, and Tobago, and Hawaii, the film occurs in Puerto Rico for budget reasons and due to the low location cost of the Princess Protection Program, which was also filmed in Puerto Rico.
Max's wand is a different color in the movie compared to the wand in the series. In the series, Max's wand is white, but in this movie, it is brown, like Justin's.
