Sydney Chandler in Alien: Earth (2025)

Goofs

Neverland

Alien: Earth

Edit

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

If the ship's mission was, as stated, 65 years, how does the crew knows there's a new company Prodigy, founded "10 years ago" (in what reference frame is that - ship's time or Earth's time?) and that it was founded by "youngest trillionaire"?

Correction: After waking up the crew received communications and updated orders from Weyland-Yutani, which includes updates on major events.

Revealing mistakes

When Morrow is in the control room accessing Mother, the green lettering on the computer screen where he has just typed "Crew: Dead" is reflected perfectly on his face, where it should have reflected backwards as a mirror image.
When Morrow types "Crew: dead", the words are visibly projected on his face. Although this is not how CRT monitors work, this is a technique often used for artistic purposes and considered admissible. However, the text on his face should be a mirror image of the screen, which is not the case.
Morrow is reading his monitor as it displays the message CREW DEAD. Then the audience sees that message reflecting in his helmet, but the words are left to right readable, when the reflection should be mirrored.

Plot holes

Why would the tactical search and rescue squad have cause to go in to the rescue area fully armed with weapons drawn and scanning for threats. They are moving through the wrecked spacecraft as if they have a foresight and expectation of encountering hostile elements.

Boom mic visible

In the last third of the episode, around the couch while Curly discusses her lack of an immune system and frequent sickness, a boom mic is momentarily visible at the top of the screen on the right.
