I wanted to like it, I came in with no knowledge of the characters. I was pretty disappointed halfway through and pretty sure I'd not watch another episode by the end. I found the story to be rushed, within minutes we meet the whole cast and a get a glimpse into their angsty relationships. The environment seems so artificial to the point that you know this town couldn't exist even in the comics. (go visit an actual military base town in middle america.) The dialogue is clumsy and the characters seem to only be there to tell Naomi how great she is or be apart of her four-way entanglement...
So all the earliest bad reviews weren't far off the mark. It's really, really horrible- I've watched every episode- hoping it gets better- but it doesn't. Please do not renew this. I'd rather watch smallville reruns. Save your money cw- cancel this garbage.
I've liked a lot of entertainment aimed at young people. Harry Potter, Mystery Train, all sorts of things. So when I say Naomi seems like a show for mid teens, that doesn't mean it inherently couldn't have been entertaining for adults.
But in this case the series feels very focused on a target audience to the exclusion of everyone else. It just feels like a kid's show. And that makes it hard to rate.
However I can say that the first episode moved very slowly and the dialogue was very cliched and corny. I just can't see watching more of it.

This was a decent start. The pilot episode was not fantastic, but not as terrible as other reviews would make you think. There are definitely some clunky bits and the occasional weird dialogue reading. I liked the second half of the pilot more, it picked up and starts to really get intriguing. Naomi as a character I think is quite likeable, and I want to know more about her. I will watch a few more episodes to see how things unravel.
I gave it a fair shot but, it just didn't hook me like a good show. I think the show could have a chance if they improved the writing. No one seems to know anything about Naomi and those who might don't even give you a hint of what purpose she would serve. I also think you could draw a better audience if the special effects were alittle better,if Naomi didn't try to seem so against her truth as hard. And who's RL parents let you do whatever. Switch writers, improve special effects would be a good start.
