Isn't Allison Tolman the new Bette Middler....?

She's so good, but 20 years ago this would have been the perfect role for Bette. Allison has a lot similarities to the way Bette acted in her comedies. She is a fantastic discovery for me, because previously I only saw her in minor roles. Of course Lana is excellent too, another part she really was meant to play, just like Once upon a Time. And the whole season is even better than season 1, which I enjoyed very much. Mark Cherry always presents the best female roles in his tv shows, that's awesome.

Rita is the absolute best!

This show is just amazing, I won't get tired of saying it. It has a lot of twists, emotions, laugh, sadness, you literally CANNOT wait an entire week to watch the next episode. Last one was just crazy good, and Lana's performance on this show is just priceless. All the cast is very good, but Lana, wonderful as Rita, owns the entire season! Love her!!
