Cute movie with attractive characters. I enjoyed watching this before Christmas. The fact that the two main characters are lesbians was a treat, but also in how their sexuality was relatively incidental and not a big deal. Definitely a PG movie, too. I wouldn't hesitate to watch it with family. My only complaint is it wasn't long enough.
This was a nice enough, sort of festive move but unfortunately didn't feel very festive. It was based around Christmas, but it didn't have the magical feels.
It was nice to watch a diverse Christmas romance but there was just something missing with lack of chemistry between all actors.
Why IMDB needs me to write a minimum of 600 characters is beyond me, especially when sometimes there's not a whole lot to say about certain movies, and we aren't all movie critics writing a column.
Anyway, this was a pleasant time passer but not very memorable, and I don't see myself watching it again in the future.

The film is not too original in its plot, a successful and beautiful city woman goes back to her family living in an indebted family ranch where she also meets someone new. It is a feel good Christmas romance with nice cosy atmosphere, likeable characters, romance, family drama and a bit of humour. I think it is great - we need more wlw feel good movies, especially during the holidays.
Okay, I know that it's formulaic and basically just a slight variation of the typical love story ... but it was really lighthearted and kind of fun.
I've been binge-watching girl/girl love stories lately and, although I generally love them, a lot of them are rather dark. Christmas at the Ranch was a fun diversion.
The two leads were very attractive and, while not perfect, seemed to have a good chemistry together. One of my favorite scenes was during the winter storm, when they innocently had to spend the night together. The squirming and manipulation on the bed made me giggle and reminded me of sharing the bed with one of my sisters or at sleepovers with platonic girlfriends when I was a child. Recommended.

Yeah okay, this movie isn't great and you have to take what you can get when you're looking for lesbian Christmas movies but me and my wife were distracted the entire time by this innocuous little detail - Kate, a small-time rancher, has a salary of $150k?! This would put Kate in the top 9.5% of annual household incomes in the US. Talking of households, Kate is ALSO getting free board at the ranch's cottage? What the hell is this woman's problem? I'd love to know what she has done to earn this level of income considering her job seems to consist of fixing a single, tiny pathetic looking fence every day and then staying at a motel. No wonder your ranch is hemorrhaging money!
This movie probably deserves a 4 star rating but gets 5 solely for all of this.
