Tara and her her dad Nick visit Grandpa Jack in the nursing home; meanwhile, Professor Epicopolis confronts an unruly student during a lecture at San Fransisco University and later reveals his true identity: Dr. Epic. While at the nursing home, Tara receives a startling warning about her future and the fate of the world.

As Professor Epicopolis reveals his tortured youth, Tara's life continues to unravel. Later, Professor returns to his secret compound where he and his monstrous but lovable minion 1102 prepare the EpicBot X for its ultimate destination: Fair oaks. But a surprise visit from an old friend might derail his plans.

Heeding the advice of the 'Boy From Nowhere', Tara is determined to make it to the Superhero Parade, but a scary encounter on a city bus threatens her plan. Meanwhile, Dr. Epic focuses his energy on destroying the lives of the superheroes by stealing their DNA and becoming the most powerful being on Earth. Later, communication with a Valkidian reveals a wicked alliance.
