The Beginning of the Sanctuary and the Beginning of the End

This episode does wonders for the characters of Roswaal, Ryuzu Meyer and Beatrice, giving us new perspectives on how they all came to be in service of Echidna and the creation of the sanctuary. The Dichotomy between Subaru and Roswaal is also fascinating and one of the best protagonist/antagonist parallels in new gen anime and manga.

This is the fifth 30mins episode in row (and the sixth overall), seriously this is the best thing that the anime industry ever had in the past decade; this season is supposed to be 25 episodes, but i think that the amount of content we're getting equals 36 episodes which means 3 courses season, All hail studio Whitefox. i guess that this episode won't hold that significance until a few seasons later, which shows that the creator of this story planned a lot of these stuff perhaps before even starting to write it. also the visuals are incredible in this episode, usually, when an anime is near the ending, the studios start to cut the corners and reduce the quality or run out of budget, but not here; the visuals were gorgeous in the ending song as well. 10/10 for me, more studios should learn to make long episodes.
